Compare yourself to other people, why not?
Here's why you should
Crusletter
Everyone says not to compare yourself to other people and I say why not?
Because if you’re intelligent and have any understanding of nuance, you know that there’s something to be learned from people that have made it to a place you haven’t as long as you avoid being a victim of it.
It’s natural to compare and it’s better to be honest with yourself about why things bother you than to pretend like they don’t.
So you know what, get mad that someone’s doing better than you but recognize that you don’t know the whole story and if you think the problem has to do with them and you’re not willing to use them as positive motivation to improve…
That right there is a problem with you.
That said…
I want to help you reach the level of confidence that allows you to take inspiration from other’s success rather than taking offense.
In a recent podcast episode of mine, I reflect on my 7 year streak of daily running while I explain exactly how to EARN confidence.
