Pessimism is an interesting type of foolishness
 

where people will mindlessly adopt an assumed trajectory of their life becoming worse as they get older.
 

Because of this, you see a million different iterations
 

of the person that wants to throw their life away in the moment
 

because when you get older “it’s horrible anyways.”
 

The crazy part of this paradoxical thinking
 

is that this response to the grim future that hasn’t even happened yet
 

is the exact and only thing that creates that very future.
 

So I think it’s pretty clear that arbitrarily submitting yourself to poor outcomes
 

is simply a self fulfilling prophecy.
