Everyone wants you to pick a lane and stay in it. Everyone wants you to be single minded and easy to make sense of.
 

Well I want you to forget all that nonsense because you deserve more. If I look at my own life, it’s easy to see what people want from me and quite frankly I couldn’t care less.
 

You know, I wanna be incredibly serious with everything I care about. And just as well I wanna turn around and be hilarious and sarcastic. I want to be ultra focused on improving myself and working hard and at the same time I want to build the most incredible relationship with someone else that I’d do anything for. I wanna be inspired by lifting records and no less inspired by the sound of Motown records.
 

You know, they can try all they want to contain who I am but there’s not a box in this world that’s shaped like me and I promise you can have it all but you’ve just gotta be the one to ask for it.
