Do the people you hang out with respect who you are or do you have to be a carbon copy of them to earn their respect?
 

Because if you’re thinking the way to build community is to water down the person you actually are and be a mirror of other people, you’ll never know who would’ve respected the realest version of you.
 

It’s interesting when pretending is the basis of someone’s relationships because they’ve somehow been convinced that kidding themselves is any kind of solution. But here’s the reality…
 

it’s hard to find those people that’ll reciprocate real respect because it’s harder to find things that are better.
