Cru’s Letter

Your work ethic should make people think you’re obsessed and your mind should be telling you that everything you want is on the way.

You earn this ability to “mentally chill” when you’re the kind of person to actually show up and do the work which is funny because it’s usually the hardest working folks that overthink the most.

My favorite thing to say lately is “success is chasing me down and it’s only a matter of time until it catches up.”

This is my way of cueing myself to stop fighting my way to where I want to be and instead, moving through life like I know I’m gonna get there. When this mental pressure is released, things sure start to move in a positive direction.

Now, you might be wondering how you’re supposed to “let go” when you care so much about reaching your goals and the truth is, it’s never about caring less. The real objective in this perspective shift is to judge failures and shortcomings less so they hold less weight.

If your business has a bad month, you can either act like the world is ending or you can act like it’s all part of the game and keep moving forward like nothing can get in your way. Whichever way you choose, it’ll pour into the way you hold yourself, communicate with others, and make significant decisions which compounds greatly.

Like I hinted at earlier, it’s pretty easy to misinterpret letting go because the people who are the best at letting go are the ones that never held onto anything in the first place haha. People that let every opportunity slip by and don’t create assurance through self discipline are not the ones that deserve to sit back and let the universe do its thing.

That said, if you are incredibly consistent and reliable to yourself and others, feel free to indulge in a little bit of “I got this shit.”
