You know, I’ve never met somebody that regretted overcoming something difficult in their life. No matter how painful the way there was, there’s something invaluable and often unexplainable that comes out of it.
The real regret you hear about time and time again comes from people not doing the thing they’re intimidated by.
Not using the time they have to do something meaningful and allowing the cloud of “what if” to dictate their life. But for some reason, we still look for the easy way out. The way that’ll produce nothing but disappointment.
Maybe the skill of conceptualizing one’s future self is a lost art and I think we could use some practice.
