you still have you

It doesn’t start out with people understanding you...

CRU MAHONEY

It doesn’t start out with people understanding you and wanting to be a part of this path you’re on.

There’s day after day that goes by where the only person you can expect to understand you is you

and that doesn’t always feel good. These days don’t just go by like how it sounds either.

Often you feel every bit of the 24 hours you’re faced with.

But sometimes talking about the pain of the journey cheapens it

because it can never convey the real thing.

Just as well, trying to explain the joy that comes from the eventual opposite of that

is a challenging feat as well.

To know that people respect and want to be around you as a result of the very thing that produced nothing but isolation up to that point,

is a special thing.

The appreciation for understanding and company is potent and in moments where isolation revisits,

you don’t feel alone because you still have you.
