The biggest hack for a better life

Why are so few people acting on this?

Cru’s Letter

Do you want the blueprint for an amazing life?

It’s right in front of you…

If you really think about it, you have access to almost as much information as you could possibly want. Arguably too much in some ways.

If you want to learn anything, it’s on youtube.

If you want to hear anyone’s ideas, you can get their book.

If you want help with nearly any task, chatgpt has your back.

You would think that if we had all this information, people would be so much smarter and more accomplished but in reality, the human condition remains. With no “need” to change, comes no decision to change. Information doesn’t mean much if you don’t act on it and the “answers” that are available to us simply keep most people paralyzed.

For those that are truly ambitious about reaching their best self, it’s very accessible with the luxuries of today.

Most people that have found success in something love to share it with other people and all you have to do is listen. Within seconds, you can access the protocols of the top health professionals, the workouts of the worlds fittest people, the ideas of the smartest folks we know of and you know what happens when you act on that information?

It works.

Of course with information overload comes the responsibility to be a discerning critical thinker but that’s a low price to pay for a substantially better life.

As our access to information increases, I see a very interesting knowledge gap forming in our population. Historically, we see trends of income gaps between rich and poor but this currency of knowledge is becoming very polarizing because it makes some people very powerful and others arrive at the mercy of ignorance.

Basically, people that seek to know, will know a lot and those that seek to just coast along, probably won’t like the outcome.

Marketing is a clear example of this dynamic because you could spend a single week on youtube getting an incredibly strong grasp on marketing psychology and very quickly expose yourself to the very thing that takes advantage of most of our population.

The thing is… most people will simply never look into it which puts them at such a disadvantage compared to those that do the deep dive.

My true point in all of this is to encourage you to think deeply and critically.

Mindlessness is the enemy because when you atrophy your ability to make your own decisions, your outcomes no longer belong to you.

You belong in the driver’s seat of your own life. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

P.S. I’ve been thinking a lot about the downfalls of social media lately for reasons similar to what I outlined in this letter. I recorded a podcast all about it recently that I think you’ll enjoy.
