Be your own worst critic

When you search for the best in yourself, you become real familiar with the worst. And it’s one thing to be your own worst critic but people have no idea what it looks like to never distract yourself from the weaknesses you see in who you are.
It’s funny because being someone with a social media presence, some people try to slip through the cracks of all the positivity and pose something negative that I haven’t thought of myself. It’s often a good attempt but I wonder what it must feel like to pose anger and frustration to a person I’ve gotten to know through a sixty second clip on a screen.
You see, words that are said to you or about you, are not always a real reflection of you. Sometimes the speaker is looking for understanding and it’s easier to find that in bitterness for your success than it is to curate their own.
