Everything you do has a practical outcome as well as the data that gets built into your character.

When you live life through a set of principles, you ensure the best data but usually get a worse practical outcome in the short term. If you’re a good person, I’m sure you’re no stranger to the fact that being that way doesn’t always give you the obvious win.

It’s crucial to remember that this is to be expected and long term, you’re getting something that those who took shortcuts won’t experience…

Why does it feel good to do the right thing exactly? Well, you tell me…

After all, it is your subconscious guiding that feeling.

In my life, I’ve had so many moments where I knew I could cash in on any easy win but for some reason, the harder path was always calling my name. The experience of overcoming something real stood out as more valuable than shortcutting my way to an outcome because that outcome defines what you get, but the journey defines who you are.

You can cheat your way to money.

You can cheat your way to friends.

You can cheat your way to fame.

But despite how attractive it may seem… it’ll only leave you empty.

I think today, the opportunity to cash in is more available than ever and that’s why it’s even more powerful to stay the course.

The amount of money I could be making from pushing supplements and things I don’t resonate with is astronomical but I pass up on every dollar because my soul is worth so much more.

Of course it would be great to make easy money but a million dollars made from taking advantage vs a million dollars made from positively impacting the world are not even close to the same value in my opinion.

To be able to see through the shiny objects, it takes a lot of honest self-talk because nobody is immune to the lure of a shortcut.

Just remember, shortcuts aren’t real and if they are, they come at a cost whether you know it or not.

All too many people will put their soul up for sale at the first sight of an easy advantage and what a shame that the whole world has been tricked into getting rid of the most valuable thing there is…

Please don’t fall for it.
