Break free from the mental jail

The biggest mindset shift you could make is right front of you...

Cru’s Letter

I know you have big dreams.

I know there’s something deep within you that wants honest fulfillment.

I know exactly how you feel…

See, for whatever reason, the world today wants to you ignore that feeling. It wants to fill your ears with advertising and your eyes with distractions but I need you to push back against that.

Your most authentic self is your best self and it’s your responsibility to dig deep and figure out what that looks like because the world is starving for authenticity.

Everyone seems to be putting on an act.

Society idolizes the false heroes and it can’t stay this way forever.

It’s a big goal of mine to truly change the world. Sometimes I sit by myself wondering how exactly that’ll be possible but to me, there’s no other option but to keep trying.

A part of this change is in proving that the “gut” speaks volumes… or at least it should.

What I mean is that your honest response to the world around you shouldn’t be silenced. That doesn’t mean it always has to be said out loud but it shouldn’t be ignored in your mind. If you always act and think for the sole purpose of pleasing others, you’ll become someone you’re not and I can’t let you go down that path.

Have you ever heard of virtue signaling? It’s one of my favorite terms because it describes the literal OPPOSITE of what I’m encouraging you to do.

Virtue signaling is defined as: the act of expressing opinions or behaving in a way that is intended to attract approval or signal good character, often in a way that is considered insincere or superficial

I’ll tell you exactly why this is so popular…

We all learn that when you do selfless acts of kindness, Ellen Degeneres invites you onto her TV show and gives you a brand new car! Herein lies the birth of the modern day virtue signal.

When you have a people pleasing personality, it’s easier to please people… imagine that. The problem is that living that way creates deep resentment and a complete lack of authenticity.

Maybe you’re being told to think a certain way by your family, your friends, your social media feed, but if it doesn’t feel honest, pay attention to that feeling.

You can think for yourself and if you learn to quiet the noise so your own voice can come through, that sense of self is worth a lot more than the opinions of sheep.
