Cru’s Letter

If you’re constantly working and doing “all the right things” but you feel like you’re staying in the same spot, I’m about to tell you the best thing you could possibly start prioritizing.

Now, before I get into that, I want you to think about some of the best things that have ever happened to you…

Where have your most fruitful opportunities come from?

What is the most fun you’ve ever had?

When did you feel the most lucky in life?

Really think back to those times and try to visualize them…

Is there any chance that these amazing things happened ONLY because of you and nobody else?

I doubt it.

When you think of the people you spend a lot of time with, you can probably see how their presence in your life has made a pretty significant impact. When you think about meeting more people though, you might have some resistance because let’s face it… it can be a lot of work to get new people to understand you.

Here’s where this “best thing to start prioritizing” comes into play.

Seeking out new connections is an incredible investment of your time that is often disguised as a waste of it. It can be tough to spend your precious time on just trying to meet new people when you’re already comfortable with the ones you know, but speculative investments like this are typically most valuable.

There are so many people that are just like you (yes you) and your life would probably improve through knowing them. The only way to make that happen is to move about the environment you live in like those people are just around the corner.

“It’s all about who you know.”

This quote is often said with a semi-negative connotation but I think it’s true and not negative at all.

If you want to make an impact and have a beautiful life, doesn’t that require other people?

If you want to take the most direct approach to building a network of people you admire and respect, make it a daily responsibility to reach out to a new person on social media every day or approach a new person in public for the simple sake of conversation. When you can build confidence in that realm, it will compound greatly in your life as it has in mine.

Now, if you’re really serious about this idea of a powerful network, consider joining my private mastermind where I host weekly deep dives on topics like discipline, confidence, self awareness, etc. You’ll be supported by a community of deep thinkers that want more out of life as you work to become your best self in every category.
