Why I work with high performers
They've discovered something most people never will...
Cru’s Letter
The reason I work with high level entrepreneurs, professionals, etc. is because I am so fascinated by the people that have already achieved the “success” that everyone is striving for and they recognize that it didn’t satisfy.
As people, we are never fully complete but we get led down so many paths of superficial obsession that trick us into thinking we will be. Think:
The dream car
The dream house
The disposable income
The truth here is that these things can actually be a huge level-up in life but ONLY if you are already whole as an individual. If you skip the hard work of loving or respecting yourself, emptiness will be the default.
It’s tricky because when you lack of fulfillment or purpose, it really seems like getting something superficial is going to help but the art of knowing yourself is vastly different from the art of success. This is very similar to the pursuit of attention which people think is everything but attention is not the same as understanding.
I guess societally, it does kinda help to wear or show evidence of your success because that’ll win over the surface level folks (which can’t hurt) but if success becomes your identity, that’s a slippery slope.
So, if you think you’ve found success but it didn’t satisfy, here’s what you should do:
Create space.
Create space for your mind to wander. Leave time for nothing to be on your plate. Embrace moments with just yourself because once you do that, you’ll actually be able to define your priorities and build a lifestyle around those.
All too many people get caught in a cycle of chasing what’s in front of them and they never take a second to look around and assess the current moment. It’s the high performers that most often fall victim to this and if only this high processing power of the mind could be applied to focusing on what really matters…
Finding success is a beautiful opportunity because it comes with an awareness that the main thing everyone is searching for, isn’t really the answer.
My encouragement to those with fame, fortune, and all the other f-words is to take that awareness and actually act on it.
Don’t miss out on the depth of truly understanding yourself.

P.S. If you’ve found “success” but you aren’t proud of the person you are deep down, I want to help you build the mind, body, and lifestyle that’ll make that the case.
