Cru’s Letter

As I’m writing this, I’m listening to 432hz “Nature’s Voice” frequency because I find that it improves my focus for deep work.

I don’t know all the science behind frequencies but from my experience, it creates this tunnel vision kind of feeling in my mind and fills the space of my brain to keep out some of the noise.

It doesn’t necessarily solve a huge problem but I can always appreciate tools that allow the mind or body to “do it’s thing” instead of tools that take away from that.

We have a lot of products and services today that atrophy the human ability to learn and adapt which I can’t say I’m a huge fan of. In the modern container, I guess I’m grateful to have a phone that can tell me all the “answers” but I also know that on a human level, these massive innovations are just things to rely on more and more which feels kinda dystopian.

We used to be one with nature and now we just create more and more things that help us avoid nature at all costs. Yes, we can automate accounting workflows and order soap on amazon by talking to Alexa but why does that not correlate to more peace? I think we’ve created a world that hyper-fixates on innovation and comfort which can only be maintained through those very things but imagine a reality where we realize that everything we need is within us and discomfort is key.

As humans, we’re pretty damn capable but you have to dig deep to find that out in today’s world because you’ve been told since you were young that you need something you don’t have.

Your mind is powerful so don’t go outsourcing that power to shortcuts. Thinking is tough, writing is tough, reading is tough, but that doesn’t mean you should leave all of it up to chatgpt.

Embrace what your mind and body can do and that’ll make the world better than the next iPhone or money-making hack.
